1. Objective

The main goal of this hackathon is to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the music industry by introducing cutting-edge technologies. Participants will have the chance to brainstorm, design, and develop tech-focused solutions to common challenges faced in the music industry.

2. Scope

The hackathon focuses on various aspects of the music industry such as:
  • Live Performances and Virtual Reality: How can we enhance the live concert experience with technologies like VR, AR, etc.
  • Music Production: How can AI, machine learning, and IoT transform music creation, mixing, and mastering?
  • Distribution & Streaming: What innovative solutions can we implement to simplify music distribution and streaming?
  • Music Education: How can technology revolutionize music learning and practice?

3. Format

  • Pre-Event Workshop: A week prior to the main event, there will be workshops for participants on topics like ‘Technology in Music Industry’, ‘Entrepreneurship in Music Tech’, etc.
  • Kick-off: The hackathon will start with a brief introduction, followed by problem statement presentation.
  • Hacking Period: Teams will have 48 hours to work on their solution.
  • Final Presentations: Teams present their ideas to the panel of judges.
  • Winner Announcement: The winners will be awarded based on various categories such as “Most Innovative”, “Best Use of Technology”, “Best Business Model”, etc.

4. Participants

The event is open to everyone – musicians, tech enthusiasts, programmers, entrepreneurs, designers, and music industry professionals. Teams can be formed prior to the event or at the kick-off.


5. Judges & Mentors

The panel of judges will comprise successful entrepreneurs, tech experts, and renowned figures in the music industry. Mentors will also be available to guide participants throughout the hackathon.

6. Prizes

  • First Place: Cash Prize, Mentorship opportunities, and a chance to showcase their solution at the music festival.
  • Runners-Up: Various tech gadgets, software subscriptions, and opportunities to network with industry professionals.

7. Partnerships & Sponsors

We will collaborate with tech companies, music production firms, record labels, and venture capitalists for sponsorship, prizes, and mentorship opportunities.

Theme: Immersive Musical Experiences - Here, participants might build tech solutions for creating immersive musical experiences, such as VR concerts, AR album covers, or spatial audio applications.

"Rhythmic Render"

Theme: Music Visualization - This hackathon could involve creating visual experiences tied to music, like dynamic music videos or real-time music visualization software.

Theme: Merging Genres with Tech - This event could encourage developers to explore how technology can blend different music genres in novel and interesting ways.
