Word From
the president

Do you Believe in the Power of Music?

In 2010, 1 in 10 Cameroonians listened to Cameroon music. In 2013, with the rise of urban acts such as Jovi, Stanley Enow & cross over artists like Mani Bella, X-maleya, Lady Ponce & Coco Argentee, acceptance of local content rose up to 5 in10 people listening to Cameroonian music.

2016-2018 was the content explosion era where Cameroon boast of over 12 major artists such as Mr Leo, Locko, Maahlox, Francko, Salatiel, Daphne, Renis etc with local acceptance rate of 7-10 Cameroonians listening to Cameroonian music.

2020-2023, consumption of local music has seen an all-time high where Cameroonians not only consume home-made music but consciously show preference over foreign music with over 3000 attendees at the last edition of CIMFEST. This is proof of that Cameroonians are hungry for Cameroon music.

Thus as president of CIMFEST, it is my duty to export this great cultural heritage from Cameroon to Africa to the world through collaborations, thereby opening the industry and welcoming great talents and partners from Cameroon and other countries.

In a time where Cameroon is in need of a unifying factor, if you believe in the power of music and how it affects your brand and its consumers, this is an opportunity to celebrate local talents and export Cameroon music.

TAKE ACTION NOW!
